Where I Come From

I was born and raised right here in Tukwila.  I’m proud to be third-generation of a family that has called this city home for nearly a century.

Tukwila isn’t just where I live, it’s where I learned the values of hard work, strong community, and standing up for what matters.

Growing up here, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities our city faces.

I’ve walked our neighborhoods, gone through school here, raised and educated my family right here in our Tukwila School District, supported our local businesses, and advocated at community and council meetings for our community needs.  I've volunteered my time for over 30 years with our school district, neighborhood efforts, and most recently as your Parks Commissioner.  Through it all I've built lasting relationships, and continue to grow new ones, with the people who make Tukwila strong - with neighbors just like You.

This city shaped who I am and I'm committed to giving back.

My Career

With over 20 years dedicated to city government and change management, my career has been built on creating real, lasting impact for communities like ours. I’ve worked at the intersection of leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration ensuring thoughtful, balanced decisions that serve the needs of everyone.

Throughout my career, I’ve led efforts that promote efficiency, accountability, and smart growth. I believe progress happens when we bring people together — neighbors, businesses, and city leaders to craft inclusive solutions that reflect the entire community.

My professional journey has reinforced one core belief: when government operates with integrity, vision, and fiscal responsibility, we build a city where everyone can feel safe, connected, represented, and proud to live, work, and thrive.
